Vegan Protein Supplement

I’m going to college so I will not be able to prepare all my meals and I would like a little help with my essentials. non soy would be best. From what I can tell… For the record, B12 is NOT a type of protein. It is a vitamin. B12 is usually only found in meat, dairy and eggs. It can also be found in fortified cereals, fortified soy milk and in nutritional yeast. As far as protein supplements go, I would look into spirulina tablets or powder. Spirulina is a blue-green algae and is extremely high in protein (55% to 77% protein). Compare that with meat at 20% protein. Spirulina is a complete protein and is a 100% natural, whole-food. Any natural foods grocery store will sell it. You can also make your own hippie version of protein powder by grinding pumpkin seeds, almonds, sunflower seeds, flax seeds and hemp seeds together and sprinkle a little on anything you eat. This would be a complete protein. As for vegan supplements: go to any natural food grocery store. The will have several brands of vegan multi-vitamins to choose from. The brand I recently bought is “Nature’s Plus: Ultra One Daily Caps”.

B12 is a protein only found in mostly only meats. It is a necessity to your health however. Thankfully it comes in a pill form, that you can purchase at any wholefoods or vitamins store. You also want to try to stop by a vitamin store ask them for daily vitamin packages that you can take everyday in order to get you needed protein and vitimins.

Nuts–especially almonds–are exceptionally good for you. Not a lot at once. Like about a dozen in a day. But those are good for you.

I use rice protein powder by Nutribiotics. It is 80% protein. I also have this other powder that is named the supreme meal, and it is by peaceful planet. I got them both at Whole foods. The supreme meal comes in a container, or by the packet. I also have vegan chewable vitamins by Veg life. They have a good source of vitamin B12. I got them on a webite named evitamins. Whole foods carries veg vitamins as well, I just got those because I wanted chewable. Though you would be better off with the supreme meal packets if you can.
